Extensions to existing Dwellings.
6 Star energy requirements apply to renovations or alterations to existing homes in Victoria as of the 1st of May 2011.

Energy Rating software can not be used to rate only the extended area. Your Building Designer will need to either determine insulation levels, glazing requirements etc under the 'Deemed to Satisfy' requirements of the Building Code of Australia and document your plans accordingly or provide two ratings - one on the existing layout and another on the proposed layout.
