The AusDesign 'floor plan database' contains a selection of new house plans that have been created for Clients throughout Australia to suit varying situations, lifestyles and budgets.
Although your individual home design will be very much a culmination of your own personal requirements, these designs may assist you in the development of your ideas.

5 & 6 Star Energy Ratings

AusDesign is an accredited house energy rater with the Victorian Governments 'Sustainable Energy Authority', using the C.S.I.R.O developed 'FirstRate software'.
Together with our qualifications to provide the necessary rating certificates for multi-unit developments and new homes, we can assess each design that we undertake, and provide an energy rating of between 1 and 6 stars, together with the necessary design alterations [if required] to achieve a minimum 5 Star Energy Rating level for your new home.
Energy efficiency requirements are now mandatory for all new homes built throughout Australia under the current 'Building Code of Australia'. . . . .

The AusDesign Members Area is a new free service offered to provide information on a range of topics.

'Information Articles' have been produced to assist owners in making decisions on many aspects of building a new home. The articles range from 'Land Purchase' through to 'Selecting a Builder' and cover many of the important aspects that confront most people planning to build a new home or extend an existing dwelling.
Use the 'Solar Calculator' to determine the suns position at any time of the day for any location. Calculate shadow angles, sunrise and sunset times.
