The rating process.
Designs are initially rated and a points score determined in conjunction with the climatic location of the project.
  The points score required to achieve a 5 Star Rating level varies throughout predetermined areas of Victoria with for example the Melbourne suburban area requiring a score of 7 points whereas Mildura requires 3 points, Bendigo 0 and alpine areas 34.

In the event of a design not initially achieving the required level we will detail the options, starting at the most cost effective, to enable a 5 Star level to be met.
AusDesigns 24 years of experience as both Builders and Building Designers ensures that all ratings and any suggestions we make are based on sound industry knowledge and as there are many alternative means available to bring home designs up to the necessary '5 Star Energy Rating' level, our approach is to outline the alternatives and then to work with you, so that you can decide upon the best options for you and your client
Once these options have been decided upon and finalised, we will then complete and document the assessment.

Copies of plans should preferably be sent in cad dwg format - .dwg type files - either by email or on CD, or alternatively as a printed out hard copy.

Fixed Fees
As part of our 5 Star Energy Rating service we provide a fixed fee.
This means that if your design initially fails to meet the required 5 Star Rating we will provide additional reports to reflect any design changes at no additional cost.
To compliment our fixed fees for energy ratings we also provide a sliding scale of rates corresponding to the ' turn around ' time that you nominate.
Nominated times can vary from 48hrs to 10 days.
